Was hired to serve 80% of my time as the North American Service Engineer (Electro/Mechanical) for a line of precision roundness measuring equipment, and, 20% designing electric linear actuator applications. Since 1993, I spend 100% of my time with electric linear and rotary actuators, design and applications engineering. Since April of 2008, I am responsible for Actuator Application Engineering and Business Development in North America.

March 1990 to August 1991

Worked extensively in the field doing research and development of products used in the bulk material handling industry, like limestone quarrys, re-cycling centers and cement making.

 

Design Engineer, Matrix Graphics Corp.
May 1986 to March 1990

Designed state-of-the-art high-speed graphics controller products for barcode label imprinting and data collection systems and various other Automatic Identification Systems.

Designed computer power protection products including uninterruptible power systems and transient voltage surge suppression devices.

Designed and managed microprocessor based contract engineering projects, for example, dot matrix printers, envelope addressing machines, point-of-sale terminals, graphics controllers and system integration.

Proficient at using AutoCad 2008LT 2-D to develop drawings for all aspects of a product; engineering, manufacturing, sales & marketing, quality control. Experienced at using MicroSoft Office Products (Excel, Word etc.) Lotus Notes and MOVEX, Adobe PhotoShop CS4


Mechanical Related

Able to produce parts on manually operated horizontal lathes and vertical milling machines. Woodworking and furniture making are hobbies I do. MIG welding, brazing and auto mechanics are also some of my strong areas.

Feature Alumnus, June 1988
The Leadership Bethlehem Class of 1988, of The Bethlehem Area Chamber of Commerce, has undertaken a study of Bethlehem Area Vocational-Technical School as its class project. They presented me in a local sponsoring newspaper write-up as a FEATURE ALUMNUS, one of a series about people of interest who attended Bethlehem Vo-Tech.
